Halloween: A detailed, girlish post

Hey all!
Halloween is one of my favorite days, and I'm always very sad by the fact that it is not celebrated in Brazil. My best friend also thinks so, and this year she decided to throw a Halloween party! I was very excited the moment she told me her idea. My boyfriend and I soon decided to dress ourselves like vampires, so in this post I'm going to tell everything I did to get ready to this special occasion, and how the party went. I shall warn you, boys probably won't like this post! XD

Getting ready: A vampire look

Fingernails

Since I'm never able to let my own grow considerably (they always break!) and I wanted very long ones, I bought some fake fingernails. I didn't want my costume to get very expensive, so I got some Korean or something set, which are not the kind that lasts for weeks, but I only wanted it for one night, anyway.
First, I sorted out the nails to know which placed best. With the ones who didn't perfectly, I used a nail-file to make them fit. Then, I took some tape and sticked them to a pencil, to make them easier to paint. I painted them red, waited for them to dry and stored them in a box until 31st October.
At the day of the party, after I was fully dressed and already had my makeup on, I cleaned my natural nails, passed a bit of glue on them and placed the fake ones, each at a time. A slided them back a little bit, so they would be slightly under my cuticle and look a little more real. I pressed each one against my finger for about 30 seconds. It looked great! I had to be careful, though, because the quality of the nails wasn't good, so they broke very easily. The glue also wasn't good enough to last the whole party, but I took it with me so I could glue the nails that fell off again during it.
I wouldn't recommend these acrylic nails if you were going to a
"serious" party, or wanting to wear them for a long time, but for a fun costume party it worked quite well.

Makeup

I did my makeup based on a MissChievous video. Of course it didn't look exactly like hers, because I have almost no makeup at all (I borrowed some from a friend - thanks, Tais!) and this also implies that I'm not good at putting it on XD. But it came out pretty.

The party

I had lots of fun! There were apples to be caught only with your mouth in a bowl full of water, cool music and a lot of tasty things to eat = b. Photos can be seen on Facebook, and there are also videos on YouTube.

This was one of the best Halloweens! =]
